Here and Now is a short film exploring Crash Ensemble’s genre-defying approach to new music, where extended instrumental techniques, electronics, and amplified sound sit alongside virtuosic classical performance. The film captures the intensity and energy of their collaborative process, as well as the practical realities of making ambitious work. Set as the ensemble approaches its 20th anniversary, the documentary reflects on their longevity, openness, and commitment to commissioning and premiering new works
